Data we collect
Form submissions. Forms on this site are built with Fluent Forms and stored in the website’s own database — we do not use a separate CRM. Depending on the form, this may include your name, email address, organisation, and any message or response you provide.
Website analytics. We use WP Statistics, a self-hosted analytics plugin, to understand how the site is used. It records page views, referrer and approximate device/browser type. It does not use cookies, and IP addresses are hashed with a rotating daily salt before storage, so visits cannot be tied back to an individual.
Spam protection. Submission forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam and automated abuse. When you submit a form, Turnstile checks technical signals from your browser and device (including your IP address) to confirm you’re not a bot. This checking is carried out by Cloudflare as our data processor, under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
Cookies
This site does not use cookies for analytics or advertising. WP Statistics operates on a cookie-less basis, so no cookie consent banner is required. If this changes — for example if we add video embeds or social sharing tools that set cookies — we will update this policy and add a cookie banner.
Legal basis for processing
- Form submissions: your consent, or our legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry or request.
- Website analytics: legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site, using data that isn’t personally identifiable.
Who we share your data with
Form data is stored on our website server and is not shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes. Cloudflare processes technical data on our behalf for spam protection, as set out above. Cloudflare is based in the US; this transfer is covered by Cloudflare’s certification under the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
How long we keep your data
If you sign up to our statement of principles, we retain your details for as long as the statement remains active, so we can maintain an accurate record of support. You can ask us to remove your signature and delete your data at any time. Other form submissions are kept for 180 days from the date of submission, unless you ask us to delete it sooner or we’re required to keep it longer by law.
Your rights
If you’ve submitted a form on this site, you can ask us to:
- send you a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- correct inaccurate data
- delete your data, except where we’re required to keep it for legal or administrative reasons
To do any of this, contact info@futureadvocacy.org. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you think we’ve mishandled your data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
